  • What is Kinesiotherapy
Kinesiotherapy, also known as kinesiology, is a therapeutic approach that uses movement and exercise to help individuals recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, or improve physical function. It combines principles of physical therapy and exercise science to create personalized rehabilitation programs. Kinesiotherapists assess a patient's movement patterns, strength, and flexibility to design exercises that promote healing, enhance mobility, and restore normal function.

  • Is Kinesiotherapy covered by insurance?
While most insurance companies do not cover Kinesiotherapy at the moment, there are some companies that do. It can be a good idea to call your insurance company and see if you do have coverage for Kinesiotherapy sessions or not. If you are unfortunately involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident, Kinesiotherapy treatment is fully covered. Just advise your family doctor that you would like to receive treatment through a registered kinesiologist. With your prescription, fax this over to your insurance agency and book an appointment with us.
  • How many sessions will I need?
Every individual’s situation and injury are unique in their own way. Some may require just 1 or 2 sessions to get on the right track and fix any underlying issues. However, in most cases recovery takes time and patience. Therefore, it can typically take 6-8 sessions to really unpack the issue and really utilize the customized treatment plan. It is also important to book in follow up sessions every 4-6 weeks to maintain your health and well-being.
